Move over January, in my books September has always been the true start to the New Year. As a kid, September was always full of new things; New back-to-school clothes (as a child of the 70′s I remember lots of chocolate brown corduroy), new snoopy lunch boxes, ball point pens and coloured pencils just aching to get at notebooks full of crisp white sheets of paper. Each September marked the beginning of becoming a better student, a basketball mvp, or a great artist. And although most of those aspirations were forgotten somewhere between Thanksgiving and Halloween others carried through, and shaped who I would become.
That’s the great thing about September. Anything is possible. This Fall, we’d like to introduce you to our new website. We’re excited about sharing our work with you in this way, and hope that what you see will get you excited about the possibilites for your own home. We’re also excited about the prospect of Laneway Houses. More and more cities and municipalities in the lower mainland are allowing small, self contained, secondary dwellings on city lots. We think its a great idea, and look forward to being part of this new way of housing elderly parents, young families, and those who could not otherwise afford to live in great communities like ours.
