Synthesis Design is heading back to Moscow, Russia to stage and set up the latest 5 show homes that we have designed for the 550 house subdivision located 20 minutes north of Moscow in an area called Novie Veshki.
Synthesis Design has been involved in the cutting edge development since 2004 and after visiting Moscow twice since then, we are excited to see how the project is progressing.
Lynda Krahn led the team in all phases of the design process. Selecting kitchen cabinets, tile, hardwood, and lighting required Lynda and her team to travel to Shanghai, China in September of 2008. The team’s second trip to Shanghai in November of that year saw Lynda overseeing the selection of “off the shelf” furniture for the show homes, as well as the design of over one hundred custom furniture pieces in a manufacturing plant. Now, with finishing touches like artwork, window coverings, and accessories designed and finally delivered to Moscow, Lynda looks forward to seeing the fruit of her and her team’s labour.
Our Moscow goals are lofty as 5 designers from Synthesis are hoping to completely fit out & stage 5 showhomes in 2 weeks. This trip should be quite interesting as we are forgoing our usual Holiday Inn, in favour of staying at one of the showhomes we designed in phase 1, which will put 5 designers in a 5000square foot, 4 bedroom house that is one of the original 10 showhomes. Lynda obviously gets the palatial master suite, while the four of us will fight for the other 3 bedrooms. I am guessing, that there won’t be much time for sleep anyway. There will,however, be time for vodka.
