As a child, Jodi rebuffed Barbie and instead, spent hours filling out forms for pretend clients, stamping them with vigor and crunching numbers madly, on her mother’s printing calculator. Jodi was the kind of kid who would organize her pencil box just to shake it up and reorganize it.
She put herself through university as a professional snowboarder backed by sponsors. After completing her B.A., Jodi worked for a variety of non-profit organizations. Regardless of her stated job descriptions, Jodi always found herself taking on accounting roles. It was destiny.
Jodi has since embraced the fact her childhood nerdiness was the budding of her now blossoming career as an administrator. She has an aptitude and a passion, which is obvious to all who work with her. After spending hours generating numbers for little Jodi to crunch, this career direction is no surprise to her mom, who couldn’t be prouder (especially since pencils and adding machine paper were so much cheaper than Barbie and all her accoutrements.)
Although Jodi’s passion for numbers has brought her to Synthesis Design, it’s not her only interest. Jodi has a strong creative side and a love of design. When young Jodi wasn’t playing with mom’s collection of stamps, staplers, and printing calculators, she spent time drawing layouts for future homes. Jodi has manifested a near obsession with HGTV. Synthesis better watch out, because their current administrator may be their next hot designer!
