Lizzy started work at Synthesis Design as the marketing and administration assistant, shortly after graduating from SFU with a Communications Major and Urban Studies Certificate. Her communication skills have provided Synthesis with a fresh, innovative perspective towards utilizing social media engagement and content creation to share our projects with our community.
Growing up in North Vancouver, Lizzy has always been connected with the natural environment, and understands how fundamental nature is in creating spaces for people to thrive. Lizzy’s passion for effective and sustainable urban development has driven her interest in architecture and sustainable building strategies, which makes her a perfect fit within our design studio.
Lizzy’s past experience working with a non-profit organization strongly connected her to the impact of strengthening one’s community where it may be the most vulnerable. By engaging with families and individuals who face barriers, Lizzy has realized the life changing possibilities that come from equipping people with the tools to succeed in life, which includes creating affordable and diverse housing options. Lizzy’s love for the outdoors has recently inspired her and her partner, to renovate and redesign the interior of their camper, which they’ve used extensively to explore the beauty of BC.
If she’s not camping on the weekend, you can find Lizzy either baking indulgent treats or spending time with family.
