We’re excited to share a special collaboration between Synthesis Design and Karen Konzuk at KONZUK: the launch of the Konzuk x Synthesis modCUBE tealight holder from the Habitat Collection.
Our Principal, Curtis Krahn has long been a fan of Konzuk and was inspired with the Habitat Tealight series. Curtis then approached Karen with the idea of reinterpreting her signature habitat tealight holders through the architectural lens of our modCUBE laneway home. After sharing design drawings (seen below), Karen brought the concept to life in concrete — echoing the clean lines and minimalist form of the modCUBE itself: “As admirers of KONZUK’s architecturally inspired concrete pieces, we were immediately drawn to their ability to translate our vision into tactile art.” – Curtis Krahn
This partnership is about more than just great design. As a firm that has spent over 30 years creating homes for those with means, we’re now applying our design efforts to help the Act 2 Safe Choices program, an organization that provides critical refuge for women and children fleeing domestic violence.
