WELCOME TO THE BONNYMUIR RESIDENCE
Set on a flanking corner lot in the British Properties, the Bonnymuir Residence is a contemporary home designed to navigate complex site constraints while capturing expansive mountain and ocean views. The gently sloped site, bounded by two street frontages and no rear yard, required a thoughtful layout that balances openness with privacy.
Organized across three levels, the main floor features an open-concept great room oriented to the east to take in the views through large sliding glass doors. The upper floor includes four bedrooms and a flexible den, while the basement offers a media room, guest suite, bar, and a secondary suite for extended family or guests.
A sculptural S-shaped element frames the entry, anchoring the clean, geometric form. Durable, low-maintenance materials, cementitious panels, smooth stucco, glass railings, and concrete patios contribute to the home’s calm, refined presence. The west side is intentionally modest to provide privacy from neighbours, while the east side opens fully to natural light and outlooks.
Inside, a floating steel-stringer staircase and full-height glazing bring natural light deep into the home. Interior finishes were selected in collaboration with the homeowner to evoke a sense of quiet, modern luxury. Built by the team at Engage Construction, the result is a balanced and elegant family home, shaped by its surroundings.
